Northerner Threatens Nigerians With Civil War

Northerner Threatens Nigerians With Civil War

One random guy - Haruna Maitala issued a warning on a Facebook saying there will be a Civil War if anything happens to Buhari.

Read Below

"President Buhari is healthy and enjoying his time in UK, God forbid if Buhari is to die, Christians/Southerners should not celebrate because Osinbajo or any other Christian will not take power because this power belong to the North (Hausa/Fulani) we will never agree to lost power how we did in 2010."

"If Osinbajo did not resign then another Civil war awaits Nigeria. Or Buratai should stage a coup. Or they should bring anyone else from the North (Hausa Fulani) as far as our brother is in power we are satisfied. This should serve as warning".

- Haruna Maitala

He even has problem with English to start with. He has no idea what is called Peace, maybe that is what he thinks Islam Teaches. He's so lost, like he has seen a dime from the presidency since he was born. Would an ill-mannered person like him stand a war scenario.

No doubt a lot of Northerners share the same sentiment. The British planted this idea of the North's permanent rule over Nigeria since the country's inception. But this is not a dictatorship, nor is it a totalitarian government, it's a democracy. If a President becomes incapacitated, dies, resigns, or is removed from office then the law dictates that the Vice President - whomever it may be should assume the mantle. So why talk of Civil War if the the President wasn't forcefully removed via coup d'etat or assassinated?

Such statements fuel the dream of Biafra and keep it alive. If you're not willing to have a truly peaceful democratic nation then why insist on keeping the south-east part of Nigeria? Why don't you just let them go?
